I'm a UX Consultant based in Toronto. Currently, I am working in the digital and data team at RBC Insurance. The focus of my work ranges from customer-facing website and mobile app, to client-facing applications. Prior to that, I worked in a design agency, shipped end-to-end digital experiences with a focus on digital transformation for clients in bank, fintech, and telecom industry.

I enjoy product design from digging into ambiguous problem spaces to the nitty-gritty and being thoughtful about design solutions. I am also enjoying my life as a designer, and it is by far superior - filled with characters less peculiar but genuine. The need to unlearn to see life through someone else’s perspective is humbling, and nothing is as fulfilling as when I know I have shared some good in the world.

When I am not glued with my laptop, I love pilates🧘‍♀️, reading📚, photograph📷 and accompanying my two lovely cats.

My Process

01 RESEARCH

I listen to users to understand whom we are building for, what they need, and what’s currently being done. I read published reports to understand why things are the way they are and what experts have learned since then. I explore the market to understand our position and discover opportunities.

03 CREATE

I create UX flows, wireframes, and mockups, ensuring data-driven design decisions. I find ways to collaborate, feedback is important from clients, co-designers, product managers, and developers. Behind a successful product is a team that listens and supports each other.

05 DOCUMENT

Creating a design system of styles and behavior allows our work to be carried forward as intended, and understood by stakeholders in the product team. Updating reports, proposals, and presentations allow others to learn from our discovery.

02 STRATEGIZE

I thrive in creating order out of chaos, including distilling data, insights, spreadsheets, UX blueprints, and lean canvases. Then I write a game plan of methods, deliverables, and milestones. I simplify these complex ideas and articulate them by telling stories.

04 VALIDATE

I conduct usability tests throughout the process at varying fidelities. Despite previous research, our intelligent assumptions remain mere assumptions until we gather the data that prove we are moving toward our goals.

06 ITERATE

New innovations emerge in the market, our users’ needs evolve over time, and so do our capabilities as designers. We improve our existing design as we anticipate these needs and stay competitive.
